Founded in 1936 Lenleys Home was born from a coin toss when school friends Leonard Watts and Stanley Adsett couldn’t agree on a name for their new furniture shop – Lenleys or Stannards, (a mix of the two gentlemen’s names). Lenleys ultimately won the challenge.
Since opening, Lenleys Home has been committed to providing elegant furnishing solutions in Kent for every aspect of the home. We are proud that Lenleys Home remains one of the leading furniture retailers in the region, consistently moving with the times to offer exceptional, modern styling from a range of high-end brands in striking surroundings.
Our furniture experts travel the world not only to acquire the highest quality furniture but also to learn how it is made, who made it and what bespoke features and benefits can be passed on to the customer. Our in-store teams keep a close eye on new developments and innovations in the industry, as well as the latest trends and fashions to help new and repeat clients create sophisticated interiors in a beautiful, functional home.
Lenleys Home is now led by Lavinia Watts, an experienced retailer with a background in fashion buying and the 3rd generation of the Watts family to take the helm.
A former St Edmund’s School pupil, Lavinia studied Fashion Buying in Manchester and worked for a high end fashion designer and later a large high street chain in London, before joining Lenleys Home.
Lavinia said: “The store and our brand has stood the test of time because every generation at the helm has had insight to provide the products, service and advice that customers want and need. From the start, we have had the confidence to innovate where needed, bringing in new styles and new ways of retailing while always ensuring Lenleys’ offer remains relevant in a competitive market.
“I want to carry on the great work started by my dad and grandad, and am excited to bring my new style to the brand and to give customers something different from other high street stores.
